Hydrating drinks besides water

Hydrating drinks besides water

Drinking enough water is something we all struggle with. It is extremely important to stay hydrated and replace the amount of water we lose through urinating, sweating, and even just breathing. It is easy to go about your day forgetting to sip on some water or maybe you just can’t stand the boring and bland taste of it. I will share with you drinks that are delicious and beneficial for hydration besides plain water.

Watermelon Juice

Watermelon is made up of about 92 percent of water so it is a perfect choice when making hydrating drinks or eating it on its own. To make watermelon juice you will simply blend watermelon, ice, water, and  a squeeze of lime to make a delicious and refreshing treat that will properly hydrate your body. Here is a WATERMELON SLUSHIE recipe to try.

Cucumber Juice

Cucumbers are another hydration packed food that is made up of about 96 percent of water! Cucumbers have the highest amount of water content than any other food. Whether you eat it as a snack or blend it into a smoothie or juice, cucumbers can insure you a significant amount of hydration. Here is a CELERY, CUCUMBER & PINEAPPLE RECIPE to try.

Hot Tea or Iced Tea

Hot tea and iced tea are a simple and easy way to get in your water intake since it is a water-based beverage. Drinking hot tea before bedtime can help soothe and calm you for a better night's sleep as well as keep you hydrated. Cold brewed iced tea is perfect for hydration during hot summer months. Coconut Water

Coconut water is a natural form of electrolytes, potassium, sodium, and manganese which is important especially when excessive fluid is lost through sweating and exercise. It is important to read the food label when purchasing coconut water and make sure there are not a lot of added sugars.
